Adding serial numbers can be done manually or via an import. In this article, you will discover how to complete and submit the brand, model, and serial number of all your batteries step by step via an import.
Please note that not all batteries require you to provide a serial number. Find out more about which batteries do: Batteries with serial numbers.
You have the option to complete the brand, model, and serial number of your batteries in an external file. You can then import that file to submit your serial numbers correctly. This is especially useful when you have a lot of batteries of the same brand and/or model.
There are several steps to import serial numbers.
Step 1: Go to the declaration for which you want to add serial numbers
- Ga onder Aangiften naar ‘Serienummers’
- Klik op de aangifte waarvoor je serienummers wil toevoegen
- Je krijgt een lijst te zien met hierin alle batterijen van deze aangifte waarvoor een serienummer moet doorgegeven worden.
Step 2: Download your list
To start with, you need to download the list for this declaration period. You can do so by clicking ‘
Download’ at the top. You will then get a list of all batteries for which you need to add the brand, model, and serial number.
You can choose from one of the file types: CSV, XLSX, or XML.
Step 3: Fill in the list
After saving the file on your computer, you can complete the list with the brand, model, and serial number of each battery. Make sure you use the correct spellings of the brands and models so that our system can recognise them when importing. When your list is ready, save it.
Step 4: Import the list
Click ‘
Import’ and select the file you saved. Our system checks the entry of all data. If everything is correct, you will get a notification that everything can be imported. If there are errors, you can still import the file, but the data that still needs to be corrected will then be shown in red.

Step 5: Make the necessary changes and correct errors
After you have imported the list, you can still make changes. Make sure all errors are fixed and your progress bar is at 100%. If you prefer to make corrections in the file, you can redo the import in the same way as described above.
Everything correctly completed or imported? Click ‘Confirm’ and your serial number declaration is in order!
