Monthly or annual declaration: what is the difference?

As a Bebat participant, you can submit a declaration either monthly or annually. Are you required to submit a monthly declaration or can you do this annually? Find out here.

Monthly declaration: from more than 10,000 batteries per year

Do you make more than 10,000 batteries per year available on the Belgian market? If so, you are required to submit a monthly declaration to Bebat. Each declaration must be submitted by the last calendar day of the following month.

For Energy Storage Systems (ESS), such as home batteries, you are always required to submit a monthly declaration – regardless of the quantities you put on the market

Annual declaration: fewer than 10,000 batteries a year

Do you make fewer than 10,000 batteries per year available on the Belgian market? If so, you can submit one declaration per year. This declaration must be submitted no later than 28 February of the following calendar year.

Energy Storage Systems (ESS), such as home batteries, are an exception. As stated above, these must be declared monthly.

If you make fewer than 10,000 batteries per year available on the market, you can still choose to submit a monthly declaration.
