What kinds of collection receptacles are there?

There are different types of collection receptacles. We determine the type of receptacle you need based on your type of organisation (school, store, recycling centre, etc.) and collection point needs. We provide an overview below of the different receptacle types, which batteries are acceptable for these receptacles and the way the collection happens.

Battery types: Mix of undamaged small consumer batteries and undamaged small lithium batteries that fit into the disposal opening.

Collection: You request collection when the collection containers are almost full.

Collection: Automatically requested by the telemetry system.

Battery types: Used bicycle batteries or larger batteries properly packaged according to the safety guidelines.

Collection: You request a collection when all collection receptacles are almost full.

A large collection container with a volume of 260 litres.

Battery types: Large and/or damaged or swollen batteries properly packaged according to the safety guidelines.

Collection: Automatically requested by the telemetry system.

Collection: Automatically requested by the telemetry system. 

 

Normally, you should only have metal receptacles from the list above. Still have an old plastic Bebat barrel at your collection point? Then please let us know at collection@bebat.be or 0800 97 521. If necessary, we will send one of our colleagues to visit you to review and resolve the situation!
