Many batteries can be removed from a device once they are used. However, there are just as many batteries that cannot be removed from a device. Think of the batteries in smartphones, toys, drills, electric toothbrushes, disposable vapes, and so on.
What should you do with these batteries when they are end-of-life? You have two options, depending on the situation:
- Can you easily and safely remove the battery from the device? Then take the battery to a Bebat collection point and the device to a Recupel collection point.
- Can’t you remove the battery yourself? Then take the entire device to a Recupel collection point. They will ensure the built-in battery is properly recycled!
Did you know that you can find both Bebat and Recupel collection points in many places? You can find them all at https://www.samenrecycleren.be.
