You use Bebat codes to complete a declaration for your batteries. That is a code used by Bebat as an identifier in its list of all known batteries.
All Bebat code battery details
The battery details associated with a Bebat code are automatically filled in for you when you select the right code. An overview of the details and their meaning is given below.
Bebat code
- A code: for batteries sold separately (excluding starter batteries)
- B code: for built-in/included batteries (excluding starter batteries)
- SA code: for built-in (initially installed) starter batteries
- SB code: for starter batteries sold separately (replacement market)
Category
This is the category of batteries that you make available on the market. Examples include ESS, bicycle batteries, starter batteries, etc.
IEC code (only applies to monthly declarations)
IEC code examples: LR6, LR03, CR2032, R6, R03, LR44. If you know the IEC code, you will immediately find the corresponding Bebat code. The only additional criterion you must enter is whether the battery is sold separatelyor built-in/included.
Chemical family
This is the battery’s chemical composition. (For example, lithium-ion, lead, zinc-carbon, alkaline, etc.)
Rechargeable
This option indicates whether the battery is rechargeable or not.
Type
‘Type’ indicates whether it is a separate battery or built-in within a device.
Use
This indicates battery usage. The options are:
- Portable
- Industrial
- EV
- SLI
- LMT

This is the battery size indicated by a letter.
Weight
This is the weight of the battery.
Unit price
A unit price is set based on all the previous data. So, this is the contribution you must pay when you make a declaration for the battery. You see these prices in the last column of the list of Bebat codes.
